Whether you're serving a citrusy ceviche or creamy mushroom pasta, this Chardonnay brings bright green apple energy and a polished oak frame. A bottle for both quiet dinners and bold pairings.
Tasting Notes: This Mendocino Chardonnay leads with vivid aromas of green apple, citrus blossom, and a whisper of wet stone. On the palate, bright tropical fruit and clean mineral tones create lift and energy, softened by 22 months of lees aging in 25% new French oak. Indigenous yeast fermentation adds textural nuance, while the finish lingers with lemon zest and a touch of toast. A food-friendly white with poise and persistence.
Varietals: 100% Chardonnay
About the Estate: Set along the Russian River in Mendocino’s southern stretches, Jaxon Keys is the revival of a historic ranch with deep California roots. The estate’s legacy begins with the 1844 Mexican land grant to Fernando Feliz and threads through generations of farmers, immigrants, and winemakers. In 1998, Diane and Ken Wilson saw both challenge and promise in the land. They restored the old farmhouse and vineyards, naming the winery in honor of Ken’s grandfathers—Jack Wilson and Cecil Keys. Today, Jaxon Keys produces expressive, site-driven wines that honor the spirit of Mendocino and the enduring relationship between land and legacy.
