This is the bottle you open on a foggy evening, blanket over your shoulders, dinner n the oven, and a good book just within reach. It’s subtle, soulful, and layered — like the kind of night you don’t want to end.
Tasting Notes: Garnet in color, this reserve Pinot Noir opens with aromas of red cherry, wild berries, and a touch of vanilla. The palate is light on its feet yet layered, with notes of dark cherry, floral tones, and subtle earth, all accented by a lift of white pepper and a whisper of sea salt. Ripe blueberries and muddled cherries provide a lush core, while the wine’s lean frame and savory undertones reflect its marine fossil-laced soils and hillside elevation. Elegant and approachable, this Pinot carries the signature of its place with quiet precision.
Varietals: 100% Pinot Noir
About the Estate: Oregonian Tom Huggins was inspired to create great regional wines, and purchased a 35-acre wheat field just west of Salem. With the help of a few friends and family, he created the winery’s first vintage in 1986. This is the winery that put the Eola-Hills AVA on the map.
