Your fridge called ... it wants this Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre, stat. Perfect paired with a light dinner or soft cheeses, or chilled on a warm summer evening.
Tasting Notes: Pale yellow in color with subtle green reflections. The nose is full of fresh fruit alongside floral and mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is round and generous, with clear flavors of pear and green apple. A soft, smooth entry leads to a fuller, more structured finish, supported by balanced acidity that adds freshness and length. This wine pairs well with seafood, but also complements fresh cheeses (goat cheese), and works well with light, vegetable-forward dishes. Its balanced acidity and minerality make it a versatile choice at the table.
Varietals: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
About the Estate: Domaine Naudet is a family-run estate led by Jean and Michel Naudet, a father-and-son team based in the village of Sury-en-Vaux, just six kilometers from Sancerre. The diversity of soils in the area plays a key role in the character of their wines. The vineyards in Sury-en-Vaux sit on limestone-clay hills, producing structured, mineral-driven wines. Nearby communes contribute their own influences—Verdigny and Bué offer stony, limestone-rich slopes that give lighter, fruitier expressions, while Saint-Satur’s flint-based soils bring added depth and a distinctive smoky note. Together, these terroirs create wines with both elegance and complexity.
