Hosting a taco night? This crisp white was made for it—think Gulf prawn tacos, salsa verde, and a summer playlist in the background.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of ambrosia apple, golden apricot, and fresh-cut mango lead into a vibrant palate layered with Shingo pear, pink grapefruit, and grilled peach. Crisp acidity adds lift and structure, balanced by smooth tannins and a lingering finish of Valencia orange, jasmine, and key lime. Ideal with grilled Gulf prawn tacos, chipotle slaw, and cotija cheese.
Varietals: 100% Chardonnay
About the Estate: Set along the Russian River in Mendocino’s southern stretches, Jaxon Keys is the revival of a historic ranch with deep California roots. The estate’s legacy begins with the 1844 Mexican land grant to Fernando Feliz and threads through generations of farmers, immigrants, and winemakers. In 1998, Diane and Ken Wilson saw both challenge and promise in the land. They restored the old farmhouse and vineyards, naming the winery in honor of Ken’s grandfathers—Jack Wilson and Cecil Keys. Today, Jaxon Keys produces expressive, site-driven wines that honor the spirit of Mendocino and the enduring relationship between land and legacy.
