This is the bottle you bring to a dinner party where the host says “just bring red.” It plays nice with everything on the table and makes you look like you know exactly what you’re doing.
Tasting Notes: A classic Bordeaux blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine opens with expressive aromas of blackberry, cassis, and ripe plum, layered with soft vanilla and a whisper of oak. The palate mirrors the nose with rich fruit and subtle spice, all wrapped in a velvety texture and supported by firm yet well-integrated tannins. Full-bodied and smooth, it finishes long and balanced, making it equally suited for hearty fare or relaxed sipping on its own. 94 Points Forbes Tom Mullen

About the Estate: In the 19th century, Trianon was a country retreat surrounded by meadows and vines. Until 1952, less than 10 acres of vines were used to make wine. This was subsequently increased to 6.5 hectares (16 acres). Legendary winemaker & ex-owner of Cheval Blanc Dominique Herbrard purchased the estate and has dedicated his efforts to maximizing it’s potential.
