The Estate
The legendary ex-winemaker & ex-owner of Chateau Cheval Blanc, Dominique Hebrard, purchased this estate and has dedicated his efforts to maximizing it's potential.
The grape varieties grown here are classic, with one surprise: 80% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Carmenere. Carmenere is an old variety native to the Bordeaux area that is no longer grown in significant quantities in the region. It contributes intense color to the blend, and adds aromatic complexity to the Wine.
