This is the wine you open when the evening calls for a little ceremony... whether you're celebrating an achievement, or just the company. It’s rich, elegant, and built to impress.
Tasting Notes: Château Rouget 2015 is a standout Pomerol with ripe, expressive character and signature finesse. Made from 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, the wine opens with aromas of dark cherry, plum, and warm spice. On the palate, it’s richly textured yet remarkably balanced, with layers of black fruit, subtle oak, and refined tannins that carry through a long, elegant finish. Now entering its prime, it pairs beautifully with roasted meats, duck, and aged cheeses, or stands confidently on its own as a slow-sipping indulgence.
Varietals: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc
About the Estate: Château Rouget is one of Pomerol’s historic estates, with roots tracing back to Roman times and official records dating to 1700. Once considered among the top five producers in the appellation, the estate has seen a remarkable revival under the Labruyère family, who acquired it in 1992. Originally from Beaujolais, the Labruyères brought their deep winemaking heritage and a commitment to excellence, restoring Rouget’s reputation for quality and consistency. Today, under the leadership of Edouard Labruyère and estate manager Antoine Ribeiro, Château Rouget continues to gain recognition as a rising stars on Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
