Estate Overview: Château Léoville Barton is a historic estate located in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. Established in 1826 by Hugh Barton, the estate remains under the ownership of the Barton family, making it one of the longest family-owned properties in Bordeaux. The 47-hectare vineyard is planted with 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc, situated on gravelly soils over clay subsoils. Winemaking is conducted at the neighboring Château Langoa Barton, with fermentation in traditional wooden vats and aging in 50% new French oak barrels for 18 to 20 months.
