Estate Overview:
Château du Tertre is a historic estate located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, with origins dating back to the 12th century. The estate encompasses 52 hectares of vineyards planted on some of the highest gravelly outcrops in Margaux, providing excellent drainage and contributing to the wine's elegance. The vineyard has remained unchanged since the 1855 classification, a rarity among Bordeaux estates. In 1997, the estate was acquired by Dutch businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma, who invested significantly in modernizing the winemaking facilities and replanting the vineyards. Today, Château du Tertre is known for producing wines that reflect the finesse and complexity characteristic of the Margaux terroir.
