This is what you open when the table’s full of herbs, olives, and stories that start with “remember when.” It’s southern Rhône in a glass; spicy, generous, and deeply satisfying.
Tasting Notes: This Vacqueyras opens with a powerful nose of ripe red fruits, fig, and warm Provencal spice, followed by hints of cinnamon, musk, and garrigue. On the palate, dense structure and generous texture give way to jammy cherry, prune, and bay leaf. The tannins are present but well-integrated, suggesting even greater depth with a few years of aging. A perfect match for hearty dishes like roasted lamb or anything laced with Mediterranean herbs.
Varietals: 70% Grenache, 10% Cinsault, 10% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah
About the Estate: Château des Roques is a family-run estate located in Vacqueyras, producing wines from rocky, clay-limestone soils that lend structure and depth to every cuvée.
