Serve this when you want your Pinot to punch above its weight. It’s got the charm of a village wine with a wink toward Pommard, and it’s ready to please without showing off.

Tasting Notes: This Bourgogne Côte d’Or Pinot Noir comes from two prized plots just 400 meters from the Pommard appellation, and it shows in the wine’s depth and character. Bright red fruits lead the way—think cherry and raspberry—wrapped in a balanced structure that delivers unexpected richness for a regional wine. The palate is fresh yet grounded, with a silky texture and a lingering finish that feels effortlessly composed. Aged 12 months in oak, it’s versatile at the table and shines with roast veal, poultry, beef stew, or classic Burgundian cheeses. Drink now or let it soften and deepen over the next several years.

Varietals: 100% Pinot Noir

About the Estate: Château de Saint-Romain dates back to the 13th century, originally a priory before being transformed into a château in the 15th century. Winemaking has long been part of its legacy, with historic cellars and vineyard plantings surrounding the estate. Today, the fifth generation of the Sordet family oversees the domaine, cultivating 12.78 hectares across south-east-facing slopes known for their clay-limestone soils and white marl. The estate is certified HVE Level 3 and focuses on producing elegant, terroir-driven wines with a deep respect for biodiversity. Blending tradition and innovation, Château de Saint-Romain offers wines that express both complexity and finesse.
