Estate Overview: Château Cos d’Estournel is a historic estate located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux, founded in 1811 by Louis-Gaspard d'Estournel. The estate is renowned for its distinctive architecture, featuring oriental-inspired pagodas, and its commitment to producing wines of exceptional quality. The vineyards span 91 hectares, planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and benefit from a terroir of gravelly soils over limestone bedrock. Since 2000, under the ownership of Michel Reybier, the estate has seen significant investments in modernizing its winemaking facilities, including the implementation of a gravity-flow cellar. Les Pagodes de Cos, introduced in 1994, is crafted from the estate's younger vines and offers an accessible expression of the Cos d’Estournel style, characterized by elegance, depth, and aging potential
