Not every Bordeaux needs time in a cellar—some are meant to be opened, poured, and enjoyed now. This one pairs beautifully with duck, steak, or a second glass.

Tasting Notes: Deep ruby in color with a nose that pulls you in—lush plums, ripe cassis, and a subtle lift of bay leaf. The palate is generous and soft-contoured, showing real depth and texture without losing freshness. Red and black fruits dominate, with notes of red currant and just enough structure to hold it all together. It’s fruit-forward and polished, with mellow tannins and an elegant, food-friendly finish. Awarded 93 points by Decanter for its drive and balance.

Varietals: 87% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Cabernet Franc

About the Estate:  Luc Schweitzer’s connection to Château Bourdieu began in childhood, passing it weekly on his way to boarding school. In 1993, he returned not to visit, but to buy the estate and transform it. Recognizing the potential of its clay-limestone soils, Schweitzer expanded the vineyard from 49 to over 185 acres and built a modern winemaking facility to match his vision. Today, Château Bourdieu reflects a legacy of ambition, terroir-driven expression, and steady evolution.
