This is what you serve when you want a red that’s smooth, aromatic, and ready to drink now. No swirling, no speeches, just pour and enjoy.
Tasting Notes: Abélia opens with a fragrant nose of red fruit, wild herbs (garrigue), and gentle spice. The palate is bright and supple, with a fresh, fruit-driven core and a silky texture that lingers through a clean, easygoing finish. Made from Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah, vinified without sulfur and aged in concrete, this is an unpretentious Rhône red. Lively, approachable, and a perfect match for everything from grilled meats to savory-sweet dishes and slow-cooked vegetables.
Varietals: 40% Grenache Noir, 30% Carignan, 30% Syrah
About the Winery: Created in 1929, Cave de Cairanne is situated in the heart of the Cru of the Meridional Vallee of the Rhône, in the Vaucluse region on the left bank of the Rhone. They are a cooperative cellar built on a human scale (a dozen winemakers produce 80% of the wines) whose ambition is to give birth to pleasurable wines with strong character. With grapes picked at maturity, drastic selection, and perfectly calibrated wine making, the cellar produces a grandiose series of wines, the best in their appellation.
