This is a weekday dinner wine for people who refuse to let weeknights feel ordinary. Grilled fish, cracked pepper, or maybe a wedge of salty cheese... it all gets better once this bottle is open.
Tasting Notes: This fresh, expressive white opens with a seductive nose that’s both delicate and persistent, offering notes of white flowers, green apple, and citrus zest. On the palate, it’s crisp and well-structured, with a subtle roundness that supports its bright, clean finish. The blend of Clairette, Bourboulenc, Ugni Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc offers balance between softness and vibrancy. A versatile partner for grilled fish, lamb, peppery greens, or goat cheese and fruit.
About the Estate: In 1954, Paul Bunan first read about Bandol in the news. Many years later in 1961, he and his brother began to build the foundation of the Domaine. Eight years later, Chateau la Rouviere was purchased on the opposing hillside, and then in 1978, the two brothers reconstructed the Belouve vineyards at the base of the valley. Together, these three seperate terroirs have been carefully developed, watched, and tended to by the Bunan family. The terraced vines of the Moulin des Costes grow on chalky clay soils and offer views of the Mediterranean sea, typical of the appellation, and are now planted with 45 year old Mourvèdre and Grenache vines.
