This golden Chardonnay from Burgundy walks the line between richness and refinement, full of hazelnuts and tropical fruit, and a touch of sea breeze. Perfect for a seafood dinner, cheese night, or a Wednesday that deserves a white with a little gravitas.
Tasting Notes: Bright gold in the glass, this Chardonnay opens with aromas of fresh apple, toasted hazelnuts, and a hint of citrus. On the palate, it's full-bodied and well-balanced, with a mix of tropical fruit and mineral lift. Notes of vanilla carry through the long, smooth finish. A versatile white that pairs beautifully with seafood, soft cheeses, or richer fare.
Varietals: 100% Chardonnay
About the Estate: Maison Saint Vivant is a special project from Antoine Gille, with very limited production. In 1851, it was written that the Gille family had already been present in Comblanchien since 1570. Antoine's grandfather built the estate that exists today. His parents dramatically expanded the vineyards, and now Antoine and his family have taken over. The Gille family philosophy is that winemaking is not a job, but a passion guided by tradition and innovation. The Gille family places a special reverence to their vineyards - No hazardous materials are used in cultivation and no products used in excess. Their goal is to preserve the myriad of yeasts on the berries, which guarantees the expression of the different climates through natural fermentation & little to no human intervention.
