A powerful, silky, elegant and racy wine which is tasty from its youth but with great aging potential. The wine has a clean light garnet core with a substantial cherry brick rim. The nose is clean, fully intense, with a bouquet of cherry, leather, red and black currants, dark red raspberries & roses, wild thyme and bay leaf, and rich ferric notes reminiscent of a Chateauneuf-du-Pape. On the palate it is clean, dry, with moderate acids, tannins, and fully intense flavors similar to the nose, with much more prominent berry notes. Drink now or age, fantastic either way.
