History of the Estate
Magdeleine Bouhou is just east of the town of Blaye and this proximity to the Gironde estuary plays an important role in how the vines thrive here. Directly across the estuary from Pauillac, the right bank brings thermal regulation to the surrounding land, helping to prevent freezing and ventilating the vines. The Chateau has a strong focus on sustainable vineyard management. As the flagship wine of the property, the Grand Vin is made with the utmost care from a high quality plot selection.
