This 95-Point Stags Leap District Cabernet is Napa power wrapped in velvet — rich in dark berries, cigar box spice, and hillside intensity. It's a wine for prime rib dinners, milestone moments, or the kind of night when only your best glassware will do.
Tasting Notes: The nose opens with a rush of ripe, dark berry aromas (blackberry, boysenberry, and dark raspberry) layered with warm briar fruit, cedar, cigar tobacco, and a touch of anise. On the palate, the wine is bright yet deeply textured, showing dense black cherry and raspberry syrup flavors with a soft, mouth-coating richness. The finish is long and plush, with hints of dark chocolate and vanilla adding depth to the lingering berry notes. Though unmistakably Stags Leap in its silky texture, the structure and intensity are clearly shaped by its steep, rocky vineyard origins.
Varietals: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
About the Estate: Each year, Lindstrom Wines produces two single vineyard estate-grown wines: a Cabernet Sauvignon, using a selection of the very finest grapes from our four acre hilltop Nicali Vineyard in the heart of the Stags Leap District, and a Pinot Noir produced from carefully sourced grapes from select North Coast appellations. In addition, in select years, the blending process permits them the opportunity to produce another wine, skillfully marrying our estate cabernet with Zinfandel sourced from top Napa Valley producers, the Nicali Proprietary Blend. These are truly artisan wines, handmade by acclaimed winemaker, Celia Welch, which are crafted in small lots and specially blended to express the unique characteristics of each vintage.
