This Rivesaltes is all warmth and richness. A dessert wine that tastes like a cozy wool sweater in a glass, woven with spice, butter, and aged complexity. Enjoy it after dinner, or bring it as a gift for someone who appreciates something unexpected and unforgettable.

Tasting Notes: This Vin Doux Naturel opens with warming aromas of baking spice, butter, aged tobacco, and subtle balsamic notes. The palate is rich and smooth, offering layers of dried fruit, roasted nuts, and a gentle sweetness balanced by earthy depth. Made in the traditional fortified style, this wine is ideal for pairing with desserts, dark chocolate, prunes, dates, strong cheeses, or simply as a festive nightcap.

Varietals: 100% Grenache

About the Estate: Rivesaltes is a sweet, fortified wine from South-Western France. It resembles the flavor and texture of a port or Madeira and is made from Grenache. It is mde just like Port - Alcohol is added during fermentation to keep the wine sweet while stabilizing it. Chateau las Collas is a 60 hectare estate located in the Pyrénées Mountains. The terroir is that of Aspres, in the plain of Roussillon. The estate was created in the 17th century on the site of ancient forests. Four generations of enthusiasts have succeeded each other at Château Las Collas, including Jacques Bailbé, winemaker in the estate since 1979. He remains committed to maintaining the family tradition while respecting the quality of the wines and its terroir.
